THE WINCH IN ACTION.
Some testimonials by some of our happy customers
The heavy plywood box is used to carry miscellaneous chains and blocks to the site and then is turned upside down to provide a flat level surface to operating the winch.  With a polaski I can quickly level the box in any terrain.  I use a snatch block near the front of the winch to control the feed into the spool.  This helps to prevent overloading the spool on one side and also keeps the winch in control of the log rather than the log controlling the winch.
I make extensive use of snatch blocks to guide the log where I want it to go.  A few minutes setting up can save a half hour of muscling a log out of a tangle.
I have an extra stout lumber rack on my pickup.  I rig a snatch block to a temporary gin pole and using the Lewis Winch, pull the log up and rest the leading edge on the bed of the pickup.  The cable is then repositioned and the log pulled to the front of the bed.
I have used the winch with Husqvarna saws mounted with the bar adapter and Stihl saws mounted direct drive and both work great, although I prefer a direct drive mount as it makes a more compact unit.

I have been using one of your lewis winches for about three weeks, and I
think it is one of the best tools that I own. I have been showing to
everyone that I know, they have never seen anything like it. Can you
help me with information on becoming a dealer or rep in my area. I live
in SW Michigan. I am so impressed with this tool that I would enjoy
helping others see the value and usefulness of this winch. Thank you for
such a great product.
