| Hans, Thank you for you reply. Just to let you know the next morning (about 8 am) after our email, my husband shot a moose on Wrangell island (where we live in Southeast Alaska), the winch hadn't even been mounted on the saw yet, so he drove back home put the winch together with the mounting bar and cutterless chain, got his friend, went back out the road to get the moose. I followed with his friends wife, she brought a lunch as she said it would probabaly take a while. Both my husband and I were so impressed with the winch. The men (with a little help) had the moose in the back of the truck and we were headed back to town in less than an hour. The moose was skinned and hanging before 4pm. Most of the other hunters he had spoke with said that direct mount was the best way to go. Before this happened my husband was thinking of buying a different saw, but after he saw the wonderful job it did (even with the chain mount), he is happy to wait for a while, at least till he wears out the saw. Thank you for a good product, Dana VanSlyke |

| Hi Hans! Hope all is well with you.
We were hunting near a popular BC lake and hoping to shot moose. Well at 8:00am on day 2 we shot our first Bull. It was about 100 yards off the road and we used the Lewis winch to do this task. My one hunting buddy was impressed as we tried to use the ATV with a 2500 lb warn winch and had no success. After dealing with that moose we went back out at about 1:00 pm. Well my buddy ended up shoting a moose down in a draw and in a small creek. When he got back to tell us this great news he mentioned that it would need to be quartered and brought out that way. He said there was no way we could winch it out. Well we got the site and looked at it and said lets at least try .... man were my hunting buddies impressed . that Lewis winch was amazing . I think he wants to buy one now. Also Darrell and I were Elk hunting this year and we got my boat stuck on a gravel bar. This was the first time I had tried to use the winch on the boat but again it worked perfect. We were off the gravel bar in know time. Sorry no pics on that adventure. Cheers Jamie Cleveland |

| Hello Hans,
I am not sure if you remember helping me get the right stuff to mount my small spline Stihl on an old Lewis winch that I have. I finally put it all together this fall and just got to use it this last week. I used it to drag an elk out. It worked perfectly. The 028 power head has way more power than I need and is considerably lighter than the old Homelite that was on it before. Your customer service is excellent and thanks again for all the help. I am VERY HAPPY with your product support and you can be sure that I will recommend you to anyone who asks. Thanks Again, Chris |
