Uses for Lewis Winch

There are countless uses for the Lewis Winch

“Such a tool is ideal for hauling firewood from a place where your truck won’t go. It would also be invaluable for stream or pond clean-up, dragging elk or deer out of a canyon, pulling a truck out of mud or a ditch, tightening fences, pulling machinery onto trailers, and so on.”

Up Righting A Backhoe

Up Righting A Backhoe

This upset backhoe was pulled up-right using the Lewis Winch. The Lewis Winch was placed on blocks and anchored to a stationary object with a chain. A steel beam was inserted between the tracks of the backhoe for added leverage and the Lewis Winch cable was hooked to the steel beam. The Lewis Winch was easily up-righted the backhoe.

Logging

Logging

The Lewis Winch was invented for loggers back in the 70s. To this day, loggers love the Lewis Winch because you can switch back and forth with your cutter-bar in only a few minutes. Pull your loads around corners using Lewis Winch Snatch Blocks.

Off Roading

Off Roading

The Lewis Winch is small and light enough to take with you on your off road ATV when you go into the woods. Throw this ATV winch in the back of your pickup so you can pull your quad (or others ATVs) out of a ditch. The Lewis Winch is the perfect ATV accessory!

Hunting - Pulling a Moose

Pulling a Moose

If you are a hunter, you probably already know what the Lewis Winch will do for you! No more having to quarter the moose or deer down in the ravine. No more having to carry the animal in pieces up the hill. No more lifting it into the back of your pick-up truck. The Lewis Winch will do all that for you.

Pulling a Log

Pulling a Log

This Lewis Winch owner uses a heavy duty lumber rack on a pickup truck to rig a snatch block. First he pulls the load up to the leading edge of the truck box, then he repositions the Lewis Winch Snatch Block and pulls the load to the front of the box.
