The Lewis Winch is a versatile power tool that plays a valuable role as boat trailer parts such as a trailer winch, boat winch or anchor winch.

Use it as an atv accessory instead of using your atv winches such as electric winches that deplete your batteries as you are trying to pull out your off road atv when it gets stuck.

Lewis Winch works best for pulling Duck Boats!
Watch the Lewis Winch pull a duck boat over the dike!
So you own your 14 ft flat bottom that you are slowly rigging out for Duck hunting.

You’re almost there but you still need a winch to get over that pesky dike and then get back from the lake.

So you ask yourself, why don't I see many people with electric winches? Why do I need a Lewis Winch?

Lewis Winch owners tell us that there are no other options, and that only the Lewis Winch will do. Anything else is a waste of time and money.

Lewis Winch owners who go duck hunting, tell us that they usually end up helping other boaters. They use their Lewis Winches to tow other boats in after their battery goes dead or their electric winch burns up halfway up the dike. It is common to find duck boats blocking the way after their electric winches fail.

The moral of the story is that you should spend your money on a Lewis Winch that will pull faster, last longer and will not leave you frustrated stranded halfway up a dyke.
"We were hunting near a popular BC lake on day 2 we shot our first bull. He dropped about 100 yards off the road and we used the Lewis Winch to bring him in. My one hunting buddy was impressed because we had already tried to use the ATV’s 2500 lb Warn Winch and had had no success with it. After dealing with that moose we went back out and my buddy shot a moose down in a draw with a small creek. When he got back to tell us this great news he mentioned that the moose would need to be quartered and brought out that way because there was no way we could winch it out. When we got to the site we decided to at least try the winch. Man, were my hunting buddies impressed! That Lewis Winch was amazing. I think he wants to buy one now. Also Darrell and I were Elk hunting this year and we got my boat stuck on a gravel bar. This was the first time I had tried to use the Lewis Winch on the boat, and again it worked perfectly. We were off the gravel bar in no time."

Hunting: Moose, Elk and Deer
Lewis Winch pulls deer up steep ravine!
So you are tracking a moose and you finally shoot only to watch the animal fall in the middle of a swamp or die in a deep ravine where you know your off road atv can't go to retrieve the carcass.

That means you will have to climb down to the swamp and probably stand in knee-deep freezing water while you quarter the animal to make it easier to carry it on your back or to drag it up the hill through the mud or snow.

Not a pretty picture.

So what’s the solution?  Carry a Lewis Winch!

The Lewis Winch works great in situations like this and it is the ultimate atv accessory.

Simply find a tree, stump or rock to anchor the Lewis Winch or use your off road atv as an anchor, then pull the Lewis Winch cable down to where the animal fell.

Attach the cable to the animal, fire up the chainsaw attached to the winch and you will see how easily our portable winch will pull the animal right up to the trail where your off road atv is parked.

If instead, you have your pick up truck waiting for you, anchor the Lewis Winch with a stake in the truck box so that you can pull the animal straight into your truck.
Here's a great trick that will save you time and effort. First attach the Lewis Winch's hook to your anchor point. Carry your winch unspooling your cable as you are walking down to your game animal. Attach the Lewis Winch directly to the carcass. Fire up your chainsaw-winch assembly and then you can guide your load up the hill to avoid any snags. The best part is that you will only have to walk down to the ravine once.
This portable winch is the best ATV accessory!
Hunters love love love the Lewis Winch because they don't have to quarter animals before loading them into their trucks.
